There are many things that a parent can do to help a child become interested in language arts. A parent can read to a child every single day. Get them involved by asking questions about the story. Take a child to the library and have them check out his or her own books. Have a child practice writing letters at home or writing lists for the grocery stores and really just getting them involved in reading and writing in the home.
