To encourage a child to be interested in social studies, a parent can begin first with their own family history: talking to a child about what their family is like, who the members are in their family, and the different jobs that they do. It's also a good idea to take children on field trips at the weekend or during the summer. Taking them to different museums and things that are available in your community is an excellent way to get them involved and interested in social studies.
