How do I go from an amateur skateboarder to being a pro-skateboarder?

Well usually, like back when I was a kid, it was more about age, you have to hit a certain age, I do not think that's true anymore. I think kids can go pro at any age right now considering the fact that there's kids coming from Brazil, there's kids coming Europe, there's kids coming from all over the world that are not only not even sixteen years old yet, but they have the sponsors and the ability to skate pro.
