The third thing you could do is just get another internet connection, so if you have a second DSL connection, the first one goes down, you run it on the second line. Finally the fourth thing you could do is actually upgrade the software or the firmware of your device, so if it's a soft phone, you can get a new software upgrade, or if it's an IP phone, you just upgrade the IP firmware on there of that hardware. That way, you're making sure the reliability of that system is good.
