How do doctors determine the source of specific pains?
Most traditional doctors will find the source of the pain by using diagnostic tools. They'll first do a history, which is questioning a patient as to when the pain started, how it started, how long it happens for, what makes it better, and what makes it worse. Then they'll do a physical examination and try to touch the areas of the body that might be causing pain. Unfortunately, many traditional doctors will use diagnostic tools such as magnetic resonance images, computed tomography (MRI and CT scans), x-rays, or other equipment to diagnose where pain is coming from. As far as I think, it's really an invalid way of finding pain.
