How do I know if my idea will make a great TV drama?

When people ask me if their idea will make a good drama, I tell them that it relies on how much they know about their world and the characters, because those two elements are what makes any series a have legs and springboards, which are the qualities that it needs to be able to continue. Merely having a movie idea or a pilot idea is not enough. You need to have enough of a world and enough characterization to continue over a hundred episodes. That is what I listen for in scripts.
