You know a hot spot has peaked if the following happens. If you're in the scene and you go out, and you've already been there a couple times, and people are just at the point where they have had enough of it and it's already been all over all of the tag rag magazines. Then you pretty much know the place is "been there done that". Your best bet, if you're not in the know, is to just make friends or know people that are in the night life scene. Like maybe you could become friends with venue owners, promoters, special event directors or coordinators.
