When should I be tested if I may have been exposed to HIV?

If a person thinks they have been exposed to HIV they probably should have a test at about six weeks, but perhaps another one at three months, and perhaps even another test in six months. This is because the zero conversion to the HIV test, from test negative to test positive, can occur anything from about six weeks to six months after the exposure.
