It's very difficult to stop rituals because the rituals, people do to try to make themselves feel better. So if they are going to stop doing them, initially, they may actually feel worse. So the best way to do it is to work on it gradually and kind of step it up. And start with something easy to reduce and then work their way up to the things that are more difficult.
