There's no way that you can be sure how much of your work an agent has read. And given how little time there is in the day, as an agent, if you're not hooked by the first few pages, certainly the first fifty pages, you're simply not going to read on. So you must simply trust that the agent has read enough of your book to make a reasonable judgement.
