The way to match clothing patterns is to look at the colors that are in the patterns, because patterns can be mixed and matched so many times and in so many different ways. It's not about the pattern, it's about the color. If you have two contrasting colors within the pattern, then test it out. Maybe it will work. It depends, but if you're going to do flowers with argyle, I don't think that those two patterns go together.
