There are a number of companies that help you offset your greenhouse gas emissions from air travel, or just from your daily life. You can go online and search for "carbon calculators." There's a number of non-profit organizations that will help you find those. You can calculate, based on your lifestyle and your energy consumption, what your carbon emissions are. You can then go to companies like TeraPass or CarbonFund, or some of these other offset companies, and you can purchase offsets for air travel, etc. Those companies take the money that you give them and they put it into alternative fuels or carbon sequestration that will reduce carbon somewhere else, so that you can spend it in an airplane or in your car.
