How To Organize Your Bedroom Dresser Drawers

Mary Astadourian (Professional Organizer) gives expert video advice on: How can I organize my dresser drawers?

How can I organize my dresser drawers?

The things I like to keep in drawers are things like underwear, lingerie, tee shirts a lot of times, unless there's such a huge volume maybe then shelves might be better for that. You know, pyjamas, under things, sometimes socks, unless again, you can use a basket for those. But there are so many different things like that that you can put in dresser drawers depending on the size of them and what you have. There are things you can do, though, to make better use of your dressers. I always like lining the drawers and you can even do that with a scented paper if you want, but it's just cleaner and tidier. But you can put containers in your dresser drawers, and that way you're turning one drawer into a drawer that can hold like, say, three or four different things without mixing them up. So, let's say you have a drawer that's your lingerie drawer. Well, you can get a container and you can put your bras in one and you can put your underwear in another, and maybe you can put your stockings or your pantyhose in another. And all three of those could fit in one drawer. But now you've created three separate spaces for these things in one drawer, and it's a much better use than everything just sort of getting all mixed up together. So think about those drawers as individual spaces and how can you reconfigure that.
