How To Pay For A Hospice

How do I pay for hospice?

Hospice is a wonderful benefit that is provided by Medicare. Medicare usually pays for 100% of the hospice care. That's including the nurses coming out, the social workers, any physician visits from the medical director that are deemed necessary as well as the medical equipment and any medications that relate to the terminal illness. If you don't have Medicare, many state programs such as Medicaid or Medical will pay for hospice in it's entirety, as well as many private insurance companies will also pay for hospice. It's a time of life that there are a lot of resources availible to both you and your loved ones.
