How can I prepare for a game show audition?

The single most important thing that someone can do to prepare for a game show audition is to watch the show. So many people will have come into these auditions never having watched the show, don't know what it is, don't know what's involved, and think "Oh it's easy, it's a game show, I'm sure I can win." When they get into the game play or the testing, or whatever's required to get on the show, they choke because they don't know what they're trying out for. Unless the show hasn't been on the air yet, and you have the excuse to say "I couldn't watch it", watch the show.
