What can I do to prevent kidney stones?
If we don't have a 24 hour urine study available to us or stone composition based on analysis of an obtained stone that one has passed, then primarily to prevent kidney stoned from forming, increasing fluid intake is the best rule of thumb. A minimum of approximately two quarters or two litres, plus the addition of the juice of one lemon per quart or litre would greatly reduce the risk of forming new stones.
