The important thing to do to prevent your drink from being spiked is to make sure that you keep sight of it throughout an evening. Don't let it out of your sight. If you are with a group of friends and you need to go away from the table for whatever reason, ask somebody to actually look after your drink to make sure it doesn't get spiked. If that isn't an option and you're going to move somewhere else, take the drink with you rather than leaving it on a table unattended.
