What are the symptoms of silicosis?

The most common presenting symptoms of silicosis can include such things as shortness of breath or exertional dysphnea which is a medical term which means that one gets tired or fatigued or short of breath when they do physical activities. Coughing can also sometimes be a presenting feature of silicosis, as can chest pain on occasion, but those are all very nonspecific symptoms and people have to keep in mind that those symptoms can be associated with literally a multitude of other conditions and illnesses. The only people who should really be concerned about silicosis are people who work in a field where they might be exposed to these small airborne dust particles.
