How To Recognize The Warning Signs That You Are About To Be Attacked
What are the warning signs that I am about to be attacked?
You know when you are out on the street it's really difficult to decide as you see someone approaching you whether they're a good guy or bad guy. But there are some rules of thumb you can apply as to whether you are likely to be attacked. One is if it's a guy; ninety-eight percent of violent assaults out in public are going to be from a guy. He's going to be probably twenty-five years old or younger. He's probably going to be by himself. He may not fit the setting. He may not be dressed appropriately. He may look different from the other people, if he's about to attack you. So if you are in the business section, people are dressed in business attire. This person who is about to attack you may not be dressed in business attire. If you're near a college campus, everyone else is carrying backpacks, books, walking in groups. Someone not matching those characteristics may be suspicious, may be about to attack you. But sometimes people will walk up to you and use a ploy to get close to you, like ask you what time it is, ask you directions is common, just to get close to you so you will let your guard down. And then they will try to attack you; try to grab your bag or do something.
