How do I register my vehicle?

Registering a vehicle is a process that kind of varies from state to state, but essentially it's taking the vehicle to the Department of Motor Vehicles and identifying it as a vehicle that's going to be used in that particular state. Once you've registered the vehicle with that particular state you'll be receiving an annual notice from each state's DMV identifying that it's now been a year since you last had the vehicle go through its paperwork, and you'll pay a fee to re-up it for the next year. Once you do this you'll receive a small tag or sticker in the mail that will attach itself to the license plate, identifying for the police officers and everybody else on the road that that vehicle has been registered for use in that state.
