There are number of things you can do at home to feel better with arthritis. For instance, trying to reduce pressure on the joint that is affected is always helpful and that might mean losing weight, for example, in people who are overweight. Relieving arthritis pain might mean doing mobility exercises without putting too much strain on the joint like, for example, swimming exercises with some form of hydrotherapy. It might just mean giving it a rest for a while or it might mean strengthening the muscles that support that affected joint. For example, in a knee joint affected by arthritis, you might want to have some knee physiotherapy, strengthen the muscles and ligaments around the knee, and that would certainly benefit the way the knee carries your weight and also reduce the strain and the inflammatory process.
