How can I safely transport my wedding gown to my destination wedding?

To safely transport your dress for a location wedding, we usually advise that you take it as carry-on luggage. If it's a good store, they will even pack it for you, and we have done this on many an occasion. We keep it in plastic so that it's waterproof. We usually recommend that you bring in a clean towel and we roll the dress around the towel. We do not hard-press fold it. This way there are minimum creases in the gown and sometimes we've even pressed a gown and rolled it in the method I've explained, and the gown is ready to wear when it arrives at it's destination. Never put a bridal gown in the cargo hold of a plane because you may lose it.
