How can I cut my bus travel costs?
You save money on bus travel when travelling from city to city with a National Express Young Person's Coach Card at £10 a year which gives you savings of about £8 a trip. You can buy that bus card from the National Express web site. If you book in advance you can cut your costs to £1 per trip, or look for the special fun fares - that's for everybody, not only for young people. Buy a bus season ticket. If travelling around London, cut your bus journey costs from £2 per journey to £1 by using an Oyster Card. These can save you money and you can preload them with payment or even with your weekly bus season ticket, and they also automatically deduct the cheapest rate for the journey as you travel. You can get an Oyster Card from many news agents, tube stations or travel centres.
