How can I save money on the band or disc jockey for my party?

Generally most of them would charge you for four hours and a lot of times in the booking process, they would try to push you through the fifth hour which we consider overtime, and sometimes people would think “well, I'll get the overtime”. Well, my recommendation is “Don't buy the overtime until the night of the event, and as you going into your fourth hour you see the energy level of the guests; if they have a great time tell the band “Let's keep it going another hour.” Otherwise, you may have that fifth hour coming with no guests at your party. TIP: Get a written contract between you and the band or DJ clearly stating overtime rates and conditions.
