Cell phone carriers are coming out with a new service called “UMA”. UMA actually allows the customer to trade in their bucket of minutes for more minutes by using wi-fi. By using wi-fi you can make more phone calls than you would if you were using the regular wireless network. For instance, if you're at home and you're using your cell phone, instead of getting your 7 minutes that 7 minutes would turn into 14 minutes that you can use while connected to a wi-fi network.
