You can send back your tax return in two ways. Either in paper form, correctly signed and checked before you do so, or electronically. HM Revenue and Customs have a good system for online filing. A couple of years ago, the system was rather rocky and kept falling over. However, it is much more reliable now and HM Revenue and Customs are very keen for people to use it in preference to paper filing.
