How do I stay focused through a long trial?

It's difficult to stay focused. I would encourage you to take more notes. I would encourage you to pay more attention to what they're saying rather than letting your thinking wander. Take it as a time to practice focusing all your attention on what that person is saying and how they're saying it. Focus on what they're saying in their body gestures and what facial gestures they're making at you. Are they smiling at you a lot, are they frowning at you. That will help you keep your attention on the case and the proceedings as you go along. Because some cases are pretty dry, so you need to pay attention because you're still rendering a decision and you're going to give a verdict in this case so play little games with yourself to keep yourself focused and attentive.
