How can I stay out of other drivers' blind spots?

The best way to stay out of another driver's blind spot is considering where your car is positioned on the road in relation to that car. If you are slightly behind the other car on either side, left or right, chances are the driver may not be able to see you. If you plan to pass another vehicle, stay alongside them as briefly as possible to avoid any collisions that might occur during that time. If you're driving near big rig trucks, allow plenty of space because the blind spot around a big rig is a huge area. The rule of thumb is if you can't see a truck driver in his or her rear view mirror, chances are they can't see you at all.
