How can I stay safe at a college party?

One of the things we see with college parties is not always even just about physical safety. It's about people getting into many other types of trouble. But, again being aware of your surroundings and your own danger to yourself. A lot of the things that happen to students at parties involve alcohol. And, misuse of alcohol and sometimes drugs. I can think of a few cases recently that it even ended up in homicide, where somebody might have been able to avoid the situation had they been seeing things happen and left the party half an hour earlier. So, keep control of yourself. Be aware of your surroundings. If you start to see things that make you a little uncomfortable, you need to make some choices. You need to act and that action might be leaving.
