How do I tell if the running shoes fit well?
You'll know. A reputable running shoe shop will have you put on the shoes and run, either on a treadmill or outside on the sidewalk. They're going to watch you run. They're going to see if you supinate or pronate and they're going to find out what is best. You'll know if you've got the wrong shoes. Your feet will tell you if they're too small, if they're not long enough, if they're too narrow, or if they're not wide enough. Usually that will come in the form of some red marks on your feet, soreness in different parts of your feet, or possibly blisters. That's how you know if they don't work properly.
