How can I tell if I've got an alcohol addiction?

When you find you can't go without a drink for any length of time, when you start thinking about alcohol and getting a drink after work, or you can't make a decision without having a drink first. Or possibly you don't get to things. You don't attend parent's evening or that job interview because you needed to have a drink. Sometimes you get told things by people that you do and you can't remember, out of character, arguments you've had. Or you find that you are suffering from side effects the morning after having a drink.
