How To Tip A Food Delivery Person
Service Industry (Various Positions) gives expert video advice on: How should I tip a food delivery person?
How should I tip a food delivery person?
A lot of times people give you a hundred dollars or fifty or something, they expect you to be carrying around all this money as if you're a bank. Not only is that unsafe for the driver to carry around a lot of cash, but its not very practical. So a lot of times what's really easy is just, if you are going to get a delivery, round up to the next five. Don't expect a lot of singles and small change. Most people pay with credit cards. I would say maybe five, ten percent pay with cash. It nice to get a cash order, but when you get a cash order you don't want to be making change for it. This particular company, they pay out credit card tips at the end of the day, so it really doesn't matter, but it's always better to tip cash because, always, because you have to wait sometimes weeks to get your charge tips. If you don't have a lot of money you can call that person's company and just let them know what good service they're doing, or better yet, write a letter.
