Sleep walking is quite effectively treated with a combination of medication, psychological, and behavioral interventions. Clearly, there are some sleep disorders that can precipitate sleep walking episodes in people who are vulnerable to sleep walking. For example, if someone had a childhood history of sleep walking and developed the condition called sleep apnoea later in life, the sleep apnoea may cause sleep walking episodes. And by treating the sleep apnoea, the sleep walking episodes disappear.
