How To Use Your Collateral To Establish Your Small Business Brand

How can I use my collateral to establish my brand?
You want to have something that represents you in some way whatever type of business your business might be, and you can use your collateral to help. If you want to brand your business as, say, an upscale consulting practice, then you want stationary that looks like parchment, maybe if not engraved then lithographed, similarly with your business cards, because that's how you want to present your business if you are doing consulting for very high up firms that you are charging a lot of money. You want your image to be consistent. The collateral therefore has to be consistent. What you are presenting depends on your market. If you are presenting an impulse item to a consumer, then you can use cartoons with vibrant colours like you may have seen. That doesn't say prestige though. If you are a consultant dealing with a multi-billion dollar firm you probably wouldn't use that approach. But if you are dealing with a consumer, that's perfect. So you want your collateral to support the type of business that you are and your brand.
