Impress Your Boss: How To Know When To Stand Your Ground At Work

Stefanie Schaeffer (Winner, NBC's "The Apprentice" Season 6) gives expert video advice on: How do I know when to stand my ground at work?

How do I know when to stand my ground at work?

Should you stand your ground? Always. Should you make a mountain out of a mole hill, no, don't do that. I mean, never do something, you know, you don't want to cut off your nose to spite your face, so to speak. You stand your round, you be firm, but with justification. To take an unnecessary untenable position and just stick with it is stupid. So if you going to stand your ground just make sure that your ground justified, but you have a reason, and it isn't really so much that you have to be right, it's about maybe opening someone else's eyes up to the fact that there are two points of you, and that there is three sides to every story, generally your, theirs, the truth. You know, you have to just, there is a little give and take with that. Its pick your battles, you know, be firm, but don't be boorish.
