James Van Praagh Answers The Skeptics

James Van Praagh (Medium, Author) gives expert video advice on: What do you say to people who think you're lying about speaking to the dead?; What do you say to people who think there's no such thing as psychic ability?

What do you say to people who think you're lying about speaking to the dead?

Everybody has an opinion. That's good, everybody should have an opinion. I think it's good to be sceptical. I think it's good to be, because I know personally I am that way. I think in life you have to question everything. I think that you also have to be open minded, because if you pre-judge something without experiencing it you're shutting yourself off. You're not learning, and we're here on this Earth to learn as much as we can, right? I think everybody should take it in, if it makes sense to them, and it feels real to them, then they should use it. If it resonates within they're soul, great. If it's real to them, fine. If it doesn't feel real for that particular person then they don't need to go any further with it. It is a gift. It is a gift to be open. Everybody has a choice whether they want to open up or not. It's up to them, not up to me.

What do you say to people who think there's no such thing as psychic ability?

I think also some of my experience has been, people who are fearful, lets say cynics or whatever, I find in life they're that way. They're very negative people and I feel sorry for them because they don't enjoy life. They always look at the negative part of things, the darker side. That's not what life is about. They're living fear-based and they live in a certain paradigm, a certain box, and everything in their box works a certain way and they're afraid to step out of that box. It takes a lot of courage and faith to step out of that box. They might not have that courage and faith, its up to that soul and they'll learn eventually whether its in this lifetime or many other lifetimes, step out of that box, but its up to them.
