What are headhunters?

Headhunters are mainly for people who are currently in full time employment and are making quite a bit of noise in their particular industry. They will be selected by a recruitment company to go from one job straight to the other. You don't actually go to them; headhunters come to you.

I have been headhunted - what should I do?

If you're fortunate enough to be headhunted, first of all be flattered, but for goodness sake, do your homework. Make sure that you thoroughly research the head hunting company that's approached you in the first place, but then check out the company that you may end up working for. Don't jump ship just because you've been flattered by being headhunted.

If a headhunter approaches you, and there are quite a few unscrupulous recruitment companies headhunting out there, so please be vary careful and do your research. Make sure you know exactly who you're dealing with. Don't just jump ship, consider exactly what you're doing. It's a career move that you're taking.
