Robert Steinken (Celebrity Hairstylist) gives expert video advice on: Will vitamins help my hair grow faster?; Can stress cause hair loss? and more...
How can pregnancy affect my hair?
Pregnancy can affect your hair a lot. I've seen a lot of different things happen with women's hair when they're pregnant. And you can expect anything. Some women, the hair texture changes a lot. Some women have hair loss. Some women, their hair stays the same. It really depends all on the hormones. Hormones affect the hair dramatically.
How often should I get my hair cut?
Getting your hair cut on a regular basis is a very important thing. Even if you're trying to grow out a style or have your hair longer, it's always good just for the condition to make it look beautiful while it's growing out. Get the ends trimmed. Even if it's only a couple of centimeters it's just going to make it look more beautiful. It's going to look more healthy while it's growing out. I tell people generally get your hair cut once every four to six weeks.
Does washing your hair daily cause damage?
Washing your hair every day is generally not a good thing. I know a lot of people do it but if you can get away with shampooing your hair every second day that would be a better option. Generally shampooing your hair more often will dry it out more, therefore you might want to go with more conditioning.
