Dandruff is a very, very important thing to treat. Dandruff means that your scalp is generally pretty dry. The best treatment for dandruff is getting a shampoo that treats it, that conditions the scalp. Also a good thing to do if you have dandruff is before you shampoo, take a brush and brush your hair. Start at the scalp so that you're brushing the scalp also. Then shampoo your hair. That way you're going to have a lot less flaking.
How often should I get my hair cut?
Getting your hair cut on a regular basis is a very important thing. Even if you're trying to grow out a style or have your hair longer, it's always good just for the condition to make it look beautiful while it's growing out. Get the ends trimmed. Even if it's only a couple of centimeters it's just going to make it look more beautiful. It's going to look more healthy while it's growing out. Does washing your hair daily cause damage?
Washing your hair every day is generally not a good thing. I know a lot of people do it but if you can get away with shampooing your hair every second day that would be a better option. Generally shampooing your hair more often will dry it out more, therefore you might want to go with more conditioning.
How can I minimize damage to my hair while blow drying?
Blow drying your hair, more generally does hurt the condition of your hair. If you blow dry your hair everyday or every second day, there are some tricks that are going to help you. One thing you might want to do is section your hair and take each section and blow dry it on its own. When you section your hair when you are blow drying, generally, what you are doing is you're not blow drying already dry hair over wet hair and putting too much heat on a section that is already dried. The less heat you put on each section, the less damage you're going to get.
