How much does a psychic earn?

A psychic's earnings are very varied. When you first start out as a psychic, like an apprentice, you're probably struggling on £10,000 a year, if that. However, as you grow, as you become more professional and a more experienced psychic, you earn more money, of course, with your client base. I would say television and media psychics are probably amongst the most well-paid psychics, and they can earn in excess of £50-60,000 a year, or more.

What's the best bit about your job?

The best bit about my job as a psychic is that no two days are the same. I love to help people, but more importantly when I know that my psychic work has made a difference to a person that has come to see me for a reading, or has had a telephone reading with me, the sense of satisfaction is priceless.

What's the worst bit about your job?

The worst bit about my job as a psychic is: when I go out socially, maybe to a bar or a dinner party, and somebody finds out that there is a psychic amongst them, they ask me questions while I'm having a nice glass of wine or whilst I'm eating my dinner, about them, their future, the dead, will they win the lottery, and things that aren't terribly important.

What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you?

The scariest thing that's ever happened to me was when I was developing as a psychic. One evening, I was in my bed and there was a very strange energy and atmosphere in my bedroom and the bed started to shake and started to move and I was with my partner, who witnessed it. And I could feel my body levitating off the bed slightly, raising up, but it was not my physical body, it was my ethereal body. And I felt very frightened and very out of control. I look back now and realized that that was one of my initiations as a psychic.

What's the best example of a reading you've done that proves your abilities?

One of the best examples I can give you of my psychic abilities was when one of my regular clients came to see me for a reading and wanted to know about her relationship area. I predicted that she would meet a gentleman in a foreign country who would be very wealthy and older than her within the next six months. She telephoned me when she met him and told me that she had met him in the Caribbean. He was indeed older and wealthier, and she married him in Barbados.

Have you ever had your skills tested?

My skills are tested on a daily basis. When I give readings on the TV show that I work on, it's an interactive show and you have to be very quick with your replies and sometimes they are very instantaneous. When I do predictive readings, for example, I tape most of my readings so my clients can come back and tell me whether they were accurate or not, testing my skill.

What do you say to people who think that psychics are scammers?

I believe skepticism is very healthy. I will always take on someone who says psychics are scammers and I love to prove skeptics wrong. I love to dispel the old myths of what psychics are. I like to think of myself as a modern mystic so therefore I have no problem with people that are skeptics and think psychics are scammers.

Have you ever given readings for anyone famous?

I've given readings to many celebrities. I can't mention their names, but I've given psychic readings to the daughters of famous rock stars. I've given readings to girl bands. I've given psychic readings to people in the media that are very, very famous.

Have you ever seen someone's death in a reading?

I have never been shown anybody's death in a psychic reading. I'm very lucky in that respect. Every psychic has different guides, and my guides work with me to help people to progress forward, so therefore, I've never seen death in anybody's reading.

What happens when someone goes for a reading?

A reading is about the person that comes to you specifically. If a person comes to see me in person for a reading, the first thing I will do is to make sure they are relaxed. They will sit down and take a seat. I will ask them for their name and their date of birth. I use tools such like cards and crystals and once I've ascertained what their name and date of birth is I shuffle my cards and I am able then to tune in and see where that person is at. Usually a reading is about the person, where they are at the time, any problems that they've got such as relationship difficulties, work problems, moving house or financial difficulties. Whatever the problem may be will come up in a reading and it is my job to show them the view and also show them how to overcome their problems.

What sort of things does a clairvoyant see?

A clairvoyant sees what is relevant to the person that is sitting in front of them. They can see anything from clear pictures of, for example, if somebody was going to meet a love interest, the clairvoyant may see what that person looks like. It may be shown to them in a symbolic way so maybe they will see a beach and a person walking on the beach. Or maybe the psychic will hear waves, which will give them an idea that there is water involved. They may see a picture of a house, which would indicate that perhaps the clients are going to be moving to a new home. It's very, very different and very varied as to how it comes through, but it can be crystal clear as a picture or it can be done as symbols as well.

How much does it cost for a reading?

The cost of psychic readings varies. If you are just starting out as a psychic you may well start charging £20, but a reading can go up to hundreds of pounds - sometimes £300 per reading - depending on the level of the psychic reader and how long they have been doing it.

What are the benefits of going for a reading?

There are many benefits to having a reading. When people come to me to have readings, they usually are at a crossroads in their life and they want clarity on a given situation. Maybe they can't find work or they want to even put their house on the market and it hasn't shifted very quickly. My job is as a psychic is to give them the news that this is going to happen in this particular way, show them the view, avoid the pitfalls, empower them and give them the tools to turn their lives around if that's what they need.

Are there any risks involved in going for a reading?

There shouldn't be any risks of going to have a psychic reading, but that doesn't mean to say that everyone that has a reading with a psychic has a great experience. There always will be a few people that will not come away saying that the reading was a fantastic experience for them. However, 99.9% of the time a reading with a psychic should be an uplifting, inspirational experience.

Is going for a reading dangerous?

There are no dangers of having a reading with a psychic. The energy that a psychic uses is only pertinent to them, so not dangerous to others. You're not going to be possessed, you're not going to have a strange experience, and you're not going to come away wondering what that was all about.

Why don't all clairvoyants win the lottery?

Clairvoyants don't win the lottery because the work that clairvoyants do is based on spiritual guidance and insights. The lottery is about financial gain and its very unlikely that you will find any clairvoyant or psychic predicting lottery numbers because its not for your greater good.

What tools do psychics and clairvoyants use?

Psychics and clairvoyants use a variety of tools. They may use cards, playing cards or rune stones. Some psychics use crystal balls or a pendulum as tools for a reading, and some even use a bowl of water.

How do tools help psychics and clairvoyants to give readings?

The tools that clairvoyants and psychics use are ancient and to use them for readings is called divination. If I were to lay 12 cards out for you and I could sense, psychically, that you were going off travelling, more times than not, the card of travel would come up and actually back up what I'm picking up for you psychically. If you were going to meet somebody, quite often the lovers card would come up and a court card might come next to it, such as a king, queen or a page.
