Once you've achieved your roof terrace, there aren't any restrictions on the use of lighting, be it, low level, LED lighting, or uplightings to your plants.
What lighting should I use?
We recommend the use of low voltage lighting. This can be to up light your plants or to light your deck surface. We also recommend the use of solar lighting.
What kind of planting should I use?
When planting on roof terraces, or urban roof gardens, we always use a light roof compost mix to lighten the weight as much as possible, and these are often used in conjunction with lightweight planters. There is a large variety of plants that we can use on roof terraces, be it north or south facing. We use olives, fermiums, grasses, Mediterranean plants, perennial plants, low growing season plants, plants that give noise, and bamboos.
Will a roof terrace add to the value of my property?
Yes, a roof terrace will increase the value of your property by anything as much as 20%. The roof terrace will give you the ability to use a previous unused outside space.
