Can the Martha's Vineyard Diet Detox be dangerous for certain types of people?

What particularly concerns me about the Martha's Vineyard Diet Detox, again, is that diabetics need to be very careful of something like this, but also those that have a weakened immune system. For instance, people who are older or children certainly should not be trying it. Teenagers should certainly not be trying it. If you've got an impaired immune system, this diet could, potentially, be very dangerous because you're not getting the nutrients that you need and if you're not as healthy as you could be, it's going to be much harder for you to combat whatever illness you may have.

What are the short term health effects the Martha's Vineyard Detox Diet?

Nausea, blooding irritability most likely, fatigue, headaches, and general malaches because you are just not getting enough calories.

Are colonics and coffee enemas dangerous?

There are absolutely dangers to doing a colonic. You can become dehydrated, you could cause a perforation in the colon which is essentially making a wound in the colon, and that can cause all kinds of problems. It could even result in death, depending on how serious it gets. With the coffee enemas, they are necessary, they are probably not as dangerous as a colonic. The colonic has a lot of potential to harm you, to be dangerous if it's not done properly. And furthermore, we don't need colonics. Our colon does a very good job of cleaning itself out if we consume a high fibre diet. So, essentially, by consuming a high fibre diet you are cleaning out your colon. Another issue with colonics is because it empties out the colon, it is taking out the natural flora and fauna of your colon and that includes good bacteria that we need for healthy digestion and for health. So, by taking all of that out, you're actually removing something that is beneficial for you.
