You can tile a roof terrace. It is preferable not to tile straight onto asphalt roof surfaces. We recommend a recycled rubber tile that actually is loose laid. It is pegged together and can be laid on a timber support underneath.
Can I lay a lawn on a roof terrace?
Yes, you can lay a lawn on a roof terrace as long as the weight of the soil is taken into consideration. Other considerations include the height of the finished lawn when it's up against the door sill or the up stand of a roof access hatch.
Can I put furniture on a roof terrace?
Yes, you can put furniture on a roof terrace. It is advisable to use a solid timber construction or other material and certainly not plastic, for the obvious reasons of it blowing away.
