Piano lessons cost, depending on the teacher who's teaching them, but can range anywhere from a student teacher charging about $30 dollars an hour to a very advanced professional teacher charging about $250 to $300 dollars an hour. Most teachers all in the under $100 dollars an hour mark and they have different styles of teaching and it's important not to go by the price of the teacher, but by how well you identify with their methods and the teacher themselves.

The reason why you want to trade your piano up for another one is to make life simpler on you. You can get more money by usually selling your piano privately versus trading it in to a dealership because you'll be selling it at a retail price to a retail customer versus trading it to a wholesale price to somebody who is going to need to mark it up and to make a profit on it.
