Does everyone have sex on prom night?
Under no circumstances should you be having sex in high school, period, let alone your prom night. Prom night is about capping off those four years and having a good time with your friends, so keep your pants on, keep that chastity belt on. No sex on prom night.
What should I bring with me to prom?
In your purse what you should have with you is lipstick. You want to have a little bit of powder in case you got a little bit of red. If you do not want to carry powder, carry oil blots, the kind of papers that you put on your face. You often maybe want to have just a little bit of eye shadow, just in case bye 2 o'clock or 3 o'clock in the morning you want to pop a little bit inside. Outside of makeup the other things you want to keep in mind if you are having an after prom, that maybe is to the next day like a lot people sometimes runs to the next day. Sometimes they will rent a house with the friends if the have the money to splurge. They want to do that obviously you want to have in your limo or in your car or motorcycle you want to have an extra pair of clothes. I know a lot of people do sweats, but I think it's a lot of fun since it is prom night, to do another dress. Maybe just do a comfortable cotton jersey. With a pair of flats or other shoes that are comfortable.
What if my date shows up wearing something embarrassing?
You want to see what your date, and this goes for the guy and girl, you want to find out what they're wearing before hand. Maybe more for the girl. If you think this is a guy that maybe needs a little bit of help in the styling department, help him out. He might need it, but he might not know how to ask. You might want to poke him a month before or two weeks before and say, "Did you set up a hair appointment, are you going to get your hair fixed? Do you have your suit or tuxedo? What's going on there? Just take a look and help him out if you think he needs help.
What if someone shows up in the same dress as me?
If somebody shows up in the same dress as you, you should kill them. No, seriously, what you should do is handle it cool. Most likely this is not your friend, because most likely if it's a girl most likely you went shopping together or she's already seen what you're wearing. So it's somebody you don't know. Play it chill. It doesn't matter. She's not going to be in your pictures, most likely. Nobody's going to know. So just have fun, don't pay any attention to it. It's completely irrelevant and 10 years from now you're just going to remember what you wore, not that somebody wore what you wore.
Is it cool to bring a camera to prom?
It's definitely cool to bring a camera to prom, and it's totally accepted, everybody does it. And you actually want to bring a camera, because otherwise you're stuck with pictures that all of your friends took. Or the professionals took. So that means you're paying twenty, thirty, maybe forty dollars for something somebody took. That's probably a cheesy pose, versus the pictures you can take in your limo, on the way there, on the way back, at the event. You want to have your camera there at the prom to remember the memories.
Do I have to buy pictures from the official prom photographer?
You don't have to buy the official pictures that they take at the prom. In fact, if you're on budget you probably don't want to because its going to be anywhere from $30, maybe even $100, depending on your school, so stick with your own camera. If you really want to, if you want to do sort of a: 'I went to Merrill High School and everywhere I went it was Class of 2001', then do it, but if you don't have to, with Photoshop now its probably just as good on your own anyway.
What is my date gets drunk and embarrassing at prom?
If your date gets drunk at prom, and is hell of a mess, then you need to think about what you are going to do with this person. So if you are going with your friend, you want to be a good friend and you want to sort of say, "maybe you want some food, maybe you want some more water." If they are not really receptive, if they are sort of belligerent about it, then I think you want to take them home. And yes that means you are leaving the prom, but you are also being a good friend and you're taking care of somebody in need. So you can either take them home and stay with them. If you are taking them to maybe their parents, or somewhere where they will be taken care of, then maybe you want to go back. That's sort of up to you. But most of all you want to take care of your friend. Even if it's not your friend, even if it's just a date for the first time, still, you want to do the right thing.
What if I get drunk and embarrass myself at prom?
If you get drunk on your prom night, it's not a good thing because now you need to be taken care of. So, you need to think ahead of time. 1. What is my limit? If your limit is one glass of wine or one glass of champagne, keep it to that. Have that one glass of celebratory next to you and just sip it throughout the day. Because, when you go to the prom and you get drunk, you are not just ruining it for yourself and your date, but for your friends. 2. If you are in high school and under the drinking age, you shouldn't be drinking period.
Do I have to dance with anyone who asks me?
If somebody asks you to dance, it's prom night. Even if you don't know them you probably should dance with them. It's just a nice thing to do. I mean, if it's a complete stranger and you think they're coming on to you and you have a date, then you want to decline out of respect for you date. But otherwise, just dance with the person. It's one dance, it's two minutes out of your time. Just dance.
