Saving Money On Mobile Phones

Jane Furnival (Author) gives expert video advice on: Which mobile phone tariffs are the cheapest? and more...

Which mobile phone tariffs are the cheapest?

Generally, I find Virgin's "Pay-As-You-Go" mobile tariff to be the cheapest. For specific plans to fit your lifestyle, try a comparison service like uSwitch. Always check your mobile phone tariff is still the cheapest at least once or twice a year.

Are there any mobile phone deals specifically for children?

Don't buy children expensive mobile phones, it just makes them a target for mugging on the schoolbus. Perhaps it's better to give them just a phonecard, most children can ask to borrow an adult phone if in trouble. But if you do want a phone for children, I would say that Orange is ahead of the pack at the moment because it offers two free extra calls if you run out of paid time on your phone. Check out their free texts offer as well, children do make a lot of texts. Trace a mobile.com is a wonderful service, its one pound a month and its for parents who want to check where there child is, well worth it.

STRAIGHT TALK mobile phone...I have found this to be the best deal. IYou can buy the $45.00 card and that gives you unlimited calling anywhere, any time, as long as you want in the U.S.A for free. I got mine at Walmart NO CONTRACT is what I like best and I had the fee taken out of my checking account each month so I have nothing to deal with.
