How is male hair different from female hair?

The male hormones will grow a hair faster and stronger than the female ones. And the same occurs to women who have more female hormone and less male hormone in their system. That's why you will notice for example a woman that goes through menopause that the hormones are disappearing and the hair is going with it.

What is razor burn?

Razor burn is over exfoliating. What I mean by that, not using exfolient, is it's over exfoliating by shaving against the hair. When you shave against the hair, you are also shaving against the skin. The skin is like when you take a fish - if you run your finger on the fish skin in one direction it feels like silk, and in the other direction there's all the scales. Your skin is exactly the same way. When you're shaving with the grain, you're following the pattern of you skin so you're getting the hair, but you're not scraping too much of your skin. In that respect, you're scraping too much. That's over exfoliating, in my view.

Also, they're using, in most cases, no protection. Talk to most guys, they'll tell you they use the can. The foam, and then they just go at it. So, you have no protection on the skin, you have a guy who's in a hurry who probably forgot to change his blade, and even worse is when they change the blade, they've been going so long on the bad blade they use the pressure they've been using on a new blade and they cut themselves even more.

It will stop the bleeding instantly. Take a minute and learn how to shave, and don't cut yourself! Just don't cut yourself!

In today's razors, they don't rotate; they just simulate the effect of a razor to shave you. They will never give you a really close shave. That's one of the biggest complaints I have heard from men about electric shavers. However, it's very convenient. They can do it while they are driving, and they can do it three times a day going from one appointment to the next. The reason they have to do it three times a day is because it's never close. The razor with a blade still dominates on the market and has the biggest share of the market, because that is the most effective way to get a close shave.

I will say that shaving the bikini area became more popular among men. But it's not something that's widely spread or commonly done.

The most popular facial hair style right now is goatee. It still has a strong hold. The other one would be like the two to three days kind of shave. But it's still very groomed. You have the two three day shave, but it's not all over the face and the neck. It's very controlled. And then you also have this kind of like look that young guys have also, the one or two days and with very, very defined lines. The razor find little things going along the jaw. And it's kind of almost like little designs that young guys like to have to know how to style.

Should I shave my forearms?
