Charles Triay (General Practicioner) gives expert video advice on: Why do feet smell and is there a treatment? and more...
What are bags under the eyes?
Bags under the eyes are a combination of a bit of musclaxcity of the lower eyelid and an accumulation of fluid and fatty cells under the eye. Bags under the eyes can be absolutely normal in certain people who just happen to develop laxity under the eyes in the same way as a double chin. They can, however, reflect an accumulation of fluid around the eye, which can be a sign of fluid retention. Therefore, one would want to consider possible illnesses or diseases that cause fluid retention. However, in the vast majority of cases, bags under the eyes are either something which is normal or the patient has not had enough sleep, whereby some fluid might accumulate around the eyes.
Why do feet smell and is there a treatment?
In the same way as body odour and other parts of the body, it is an accumulation of excessive sweating and a degree of bacterial and other organisms replicating in that area as a result of the moist environment that they find themselves in. So usually sweating is an issue and sweating might be treated with certain types of creams or even certain types of surgical procedures if it is very excessive. If we are specifically going to deal with the smell, then usually deodorants or certain antibacterial creams can sometimes help. But a number of things need to be considered in order to try to deal with it effectively.
