What do the AFB do?

The Association of Finance Brokers (AFB) represents secured loan brokers. Secured brokers are people who sell second charge loans, act for customers, and negotiate the best deal they can get with lenders. This association is there to represent the brokers interests with politicians, legislators, and regulators, to try to raise industry standards and to make sure that consumers get the best deal.

Can the AFB help me get a loan?

The one thing the AFB will not do is help customers / consumers get a loan . That is the job of our members , the brokers who work in this industry. The AFB will not recommend one broker over another, and that is down to the consumer to make that choice.
