What does a house mom do?

Essentially what I do as a house mom, is I am here to support the delegates. I make sure that they are where they need to be at a given moment. A house mom is somebody that supports the girls. They attend to whatever needs they might have. Anything from administering first aid to arranging for an extra pair of hose to be dropped off.

Why do pageants need a house mom?

House moms are essential to the success of a pageant. For the majority of the girls, they never have been involved in something like this and there are numerous activities throughout the day. So we're here to make sure that they get from activity to activity.

How many house moms are needed for a pageant?

The number of house moms varies depending on the day because some days actually involve a lot more movement of the girls from place A to B, but on average about twelve house moms come together.
