Who pays for the bachelorette party?
The person that pays for the bachelorette party can range. Sometimes it's the maid of honor who picks up a good chunk of the bachelorette party, maybe does something special for the bachelorette party, like maybe a cake, or just the accommodations, but then all the girls chip in. All the girls take care of their own tickets. Sometimes if they're going out in a limousine, all the girls pay for their own ride, and also take care of the bride as well. Sometimes it's even the groom who pays for part of the bachelorette party.
Who plans the bachelorette party?
Traditionally, it is the maid of honor who plans the bachelorette party. However, I have helped brides plan bachelorette parties, and the mothers of the bride, and friends of the bride, sometimes the duke of honor, which is the male friend of the bride. But generally it is the maid of honor who takes up that role in planning it and orchestrating it, and then she'll have the other friends, the other girlfriends in the bridal party help her also.
Who's invited to the bachelorette party?
Usually, people who are invited to most bachelorette parties are close friends of the bride, sometimes sisters, sometimes family members. Every once in a while you might want to invite your "Cool Mom", if your mom is cool. Generally, it's a time when the bride goes out and relaxes with the friends she feels most comfortable with. Have a couple of cocktails or maybe a dinner with her friends. You know, just relive this last fun moment being single.
Should the groom be invited to the bachelorette party?
Most the time the groom is not invited to the bachelorette party, although, there are times when the groom might make a quick appearance, a surprise appearance as part of a game, or sometimes if the groom is planning his bachelor party the same night then both the bride's bachelorette party and the groom's bachelor party will meet up at a bar at the end of the evening.
Who should not be invited to the bachelorette party?
You should not invite people to the bachelorette party who are not coming to the wedding. It depends on what type of party you are having. I have had some people say I went to invite my little sister and she is under age, can we do a bachelorette party that is during the day? And that happens. You really should invite people that are close to the bride. You should not invite that distant cousin that you have not met yet. But it is a time where the bride feels relaxed and so the people that she feels most comparable with should be present.
